First Official :: Outfit

For those of you who know me, doing an outfit post requires me to really step out of my shell.  I am totally approaching this as a way to show you cool, new pieces that I have added to my closet. {As if I need to add more to it!}  I guess you can say it's my little way of returning the favor that so many blogs have done for me... I'm passing the ideas along.

I'm exploring ways to just throw on my new Tasmin heels without having to always dress them up or really put thought into how to wear them.

These are just a few of my latest FAVORITES that I've been sportin' this summer.  The wallet was a gift from a special person and it's become the best wallet ever. Just bringing the necessities is so much nicer than lugging around an oversized wallet.  It fits perfectly inside my Willis satchel and the color is right for any season!

Thoughts of Red, White, and Blue

Fourth of July has to be one of my favorite holidays.  I'm out of school for the summer, spending time by the beach, and chowing down on my favorite American treat, a HOT DOG! This year, my Fourth of July will be celebrated a little differently.  Instead of spending the week with my family at the beach, I'll be in Atlanta.  Normally I would be sad about this. However, this year I'll be sitting on the porch of my loft, sipping a latte and watching the crazy, early morning runners in the Peachtree Road Race (unless for some reason, we snag running bibs at the last minute, yikes!).

After a day outside by my pool soaking' up some rays, we'll join in on one of America's favorite festivities of grillin' out and watching the fireworks. Here's my red, white, and blue for the day!

I believe this year marks America's 236th~ Have fun everyone!

I'm blessed that I teach at a school that allows me to wear most anything that I have in my wardrobe.  Skinny colored jeans, cute slide-in sandals, and sleeveless tops- as long as I am exercising good taste, I am in the safe-zone! This grey peplum (only $32!) will be perfect for the "sweat to death" weather we'll still be experiencing when school starts in August!

(Now if I could only stop buying classroom supplies and save for this adorable Loren Hope necklace and bracelet combo!)

Where Each Day Begins

This is where it all begins each and every day... in my most favorite place in the world- my closet! When I was little, it was where I found a quiet moment for a few more minutes of sleep while mom yelled for us to get ready for school.  Now, my closet is my creative canvas, a portrait of where all of my money goes!
