Runway Remarks :: Outfit

So, this past weekend I attended a black-tie fundraising event.  From the minute I committed to attending, I fretted about what I would wear.  Because the event was on a Friday, I knew I wanted something fun, yet very comfortable.  After teaching all week, those two attributes were a MUST!

Yep, I went through with it.  I browsed the site several times, tried to reserve numerous different styles {only to find they were already selected by others and were not available} and finally decided on "the one."  Note to self- reserve a piece early if you want to guarantee a particular one. 

On Wednesday, I arrived home to this package waiting on me.

Inside the box were two different dry-cleaned sizes in the dress I chose.  LOVED this part of the process because I really wasn't sure what size to order and I was putting all of my eggs into one basket, as far as a dress for the event goes.  If it didn't work out, I would go into panic mode!

Here it is... My first experience with a Tibi dress and it could not have been better.  The dress fit perfectly! RTR really did a great job of advising me on the best heel height to wear for the length of the dress. Seeing that I am pretty short, this was a big thing for me.  The only thing that I had to do was steam the dress.  Traveling in a box created a few creases in the fabric.

I received several email reminders to return the dresses in the provided pre-paid package before noon the next day.  {Honestly, I needed those reminders seeing that we had a little too much fun.}

I would definitely try Rent the Runway again.  Many of the dresses that I buy for special occasions are, sadly, only worn once before I thrift it. So, it was fun to experience a pricey label without the guilt of the price tag or it sitting lonely in my closet.
